Getting Away

We are now planning a holiday for May 2009. I know it is a tad early but with a 4-year old and and full-time jobs, we have to. It would be sooooo easy if we had a vacation planner just like the one here at http://www.islandgetaway.com/ where your entire holiday can be laid out in front of you.

Hilton Head Island is pretty much an island resort where you can find the most beautiful beaches and still tee off. You can go alone or with your family. It is basically for you to g-e-t-a-w-a-y. Families can go to get away from their daily routine and enjoy themselves with the abundant activities that are organised all year round. It is beautiful, relaxing, and just a click away.

For those of you who are keen to look into long-term relaxation and long-term investment, the hilton head real estate have property managers that can look into this for you. The island is kept in fantastic condition by their hand-picked managers to ensure that standards are maintained so that your stay, be it short or long, will be a pleasant one.

There are tons of things to do in hilton head south carolina. If you are into golf, it would be the perfect getaway. But it does not stop there as you can hike, bike, , fish, bird-watch, roller skate, picnic, enjoy a game of tennis, and do so much more. There are plenty of activities for children too which includes face-painting, fireworks, play basketball and that's just to name a few.

www.islandgetaway.com allows for holiday makers to look at home rentals and rentals. You get to choose from various types of rentals which include, Oceanfront Homes, Near-Ocean Homes, Oceanfront Villa, Near-Ocean Villa, Oceanwalk Vill and Harbourfront Villas. With these homes for rent at Hilton Head, you get to choose what suits you and your family best. And there is such a huge range to choices all over the island just to suit your budget and family size

Restaurants are family-friendly, weather is great all year round, plenty of shopping at the Malls, it is romantic for the couples, easy and fun for the family, relaxing for the tired, and just great for anyone. You won't regret it.

Er, now what was it I was telling you about that was going to happen in May?

T-shirt decorating

>i had bought some puff paint for MA for her craft this weekend. The instructions were to paint generously on white shirt or any other of choice. Put aside for 4 hours, then heat up with hair dryer and this is the result:

It makes the T-shirt shrivel where the puff paint is.

The Skyline from where I am sitting in the car

I want to share this pic with all of you as it is taken with my new handphone. Yup! I got a new phone. My old samsung died on me last Sunday, sob sob :( I liked that phone a lot too but somehow it did not last even 2 years. I had some problems with it about a month plus ago and spent about RM150 fixing it. Maybe I should have just traded it then because if I had, I would have gotten more for it. Now, they only gave me RM50 for it. Sigh.

Hope you like the pic.

Paper Towel Tie-Dye project

This is MA & Mummy's project over the weekend. While it rained and rained and rained, we coloured our paper towels and dried them.

We might get these paper towels to be laminated and used as placemats :)

Time flies

It such a wonder how time flies. I was just going through this site and looking at all the pictures posted from before and can't believe that time really goes by without us even thinking about it. MA will be 4 in two weeks and she's now attending kindy at Jack & Jill. She used to be just a baby and now she can have discussions with me. I really miss her toothless grins, cheeky laughs, and all those baby antics. Well, every age comes with different challenges and new tricks, however I can't help but miss the old.

Just this morning, MA asked me why my jeans are torn? I was wearing this old pair of 3/4 jeans at home. So, I told her cause these is no one to help me sew it. She told me "You can sew it la, you are good at it. You must believe in yourself!" Believe in myself? Where did she get this from???? Too much TV I think.

She has now lost her Mickey Mouse voice (according to her father) and she sounds like she's 8 on the phone.

I have included here 2 of her younger pics and one recent picture of her. Many tell me that she looks like me now. Yay!

Caffeine Withdrawal

I am finally trying to get off coffee. Before MA was born, I hardly drank coffee and I was what you would call a social coffee drinker (if there is such a thing). Having MA meant staying up more and that got me hooked on this easily available perk-me-up beverage that comes in just about anyway you want it.

So, I had started last Tuesday, and it was NOT good. The first day ended with a massive migraine and horrible hunger pangs, like even now. The 2nd day, I had this really bad temper that I could not shake. Everything pissed me off. The 3rd day, i was constantly hungry. Good thing I had lunch with a client and tea with my boss. I ate a lot and did not have to pay. hehe. Friday was not so good too, i ate quite a bit as I had lunch with another client. So, I guess this quitting caffeine thing is going to make me put on some weight.

The weekend came and I caved. I always make Moconna coffee on the weekends and I really like it, so I had a large cup of it on Saturday AND Sunday. So I'm back to square one and I am still there cause I just made a cup for myself this evening. As I write this, I am enjoying my coffee which is taking away my hunger pangs, although I am eating scones now. So, I don't know which is helping.
